Lexie made NHS, first official drum major role this week and got her car back and has interview with president of the Coast Guard.

Marian won 1st place in the state science fair.
Logan is glad there is only 8 more weeks of school.
Lauren is excited that Gingham Girl tryouts start this week.
Morgan got her Easter/NCL dress and all A's on her report card, her bday is coming up and went to AMP and had fun with her friends.
Katie is going to try out for drill team, and had a good week and brought her grades up and made a 95 on math test.
Paul made a 93 on a math test, went to a crawfish boil x 2 and was off from football and got to play dodgeball.
Ms Tamara is happy that ice cream is guiltless if you ride your bike to Marble Slab.
Esther is off of most of school on Wednesday and going to Buffalo Wild Wings.
Anna had a happy 18th birthday and Stephen came in town.
Elizabeth B got 12 hours of sleep last night.
Bec got to go camping again this weekend.
Elizabeth C won 1st place in state DI, made all A's and is missing school on Monday.
Audrey got her 1st pay check and no school Friday.

Sarah is nominated for all conference in basketball.

Lexie's cousin is coming home from Afghanistan and survived her first studying all nighter.

It is with great sadness and certain hope in Jesus that I would like to tell you of the death of Missy Blackbird in a one car accident this weekend in The Woodlands.

A viewing will be on Wednesday, November 19 from 5:00-7:00 at Forest Park Funeral Home on the I45 service road inbetween the BMW dealership and Adobe restaurant. Dress for this is casual. You will have an opportunity to say your last goodbyes and pay your respects to her family.

The funeral will be on Thursday, November 20 at 1:00 at Trinity. Trinity is located at 3901 S. Panther Creek, across the street from McCullough, near Creekwood Park. Dress for this occasion is church clothes, Sunday best. We will be celebrating Eucharist (communion) Rite 2. There will be a reception after, where you can once again pay your respects to the family and be with each other to tell stories and remember.

Audrey enjoyed her hurrication, saw The Color Purple and is a senior this year

Sam won his triathalon, got a new bike and finally got power and water back

Hey All,

Here is an update of things as I understand them.

Saturday beginning at 8:00am will be a church clean up day. There is no power yet at the church and none expected until September 25. (Power came on Friday evening!)

Sunday we will have the three services as usual. Instead of Community on Sunday evening, we will meet at 1:00 at the back parking lot to go and help parishioners do some clean up work on their house. Bring a rake. We will be back at the church at 6:00 in the evening.

I have been praying for everyone.

• If you could change one thing about youth ministry, what would it be?

If I could Change one thing about youth ministers is I would have YM stop calling teens “students”, because that relates teens to what they know about school. In Youth Group they should be seen as whole people who have a life outside of academic success. To call them students narrows them down to their scholastic identity. Church should be an institution that sees them as all that they are. There are a lot of kids that have dropped out of school and therefore lost there identity in Church as well! Our Public language should be Teens or Youth. If someone’s job is to legitimately work with youth in school then they are student ministers, outside of that, why would they be titled that? I don’t care what they want to be called, they shouldn’t be called students, it is collaborating with the motto of don’t fail, and they don’t need that from the church.

When animals come down to a river to drink they have no concept of where the water is coming from or where it's going. God is the source of living water. When our lives become this water, we can roll down the mountain and touch the lives of many. We may weaken and become a mere trickle, or we can grow and become mighty, washing away anything that gets in our way. Rivers don't care about obstacles. They go around, through, rolling—never stopping. God uses our lives to touch others. They, in turn, touch more lives. We'll never know how many lives we've touched.

OZ (Oswald Chambers) says:

A river touches places of which its source knows nothing, and Jesus says if we have received of His fullness, however small the visible measure of our lives, out of us will flow the rivers that will bless to the uttermost parts of the earth. We have nothing to do with the outflow—"This is the work of God that ye believe..." God rarely allows a soul to see how great a blessing he is.

Just between you & God:

Don't get wrapped up in who and where. Ask God to keep you moving in and around. Ask for the strength to keep going when you're weary. Ask for the patience to reach everywhere you need to go.

Every time a church bell rings, Mr. T pities a fool.

Mr. T speaks only when necessary. His main form of communication is folding his arms and slowly shaking his head. And regardless of the situation, he is always understood.
